The Masters Institute clinic is pleased to offer a wealth of body working  modalities aimed at relieving chronic pain & dysfunction, restricted movement and neuro-energetic imbalances.

The cornerstone of our practice is the Advanced Somatic Therapy&trade – a protocol developed over the last three decades by our director, Jeff Masters.

Our Mission

It is our clinic’s mission to meet each client where they are and, working together, create a treatment plan which supports the client’s innate healing process.

Through example and direct transmission we endeavor to inspire each client to discover their own inner healer and foster the understanding that each individual holds the key to personal and planetary well being.

As such, we are committed to providing all clients with a safe, sacred space that allows for a profound and life altering healing experience.

  • and more!

The cornerstone of each of our sessions is a comprehensive integrated intake process and a rigorous commitment to the well being of each person we meet.

You

Society tends to view this type of work as a luxury, to be enjoyed by those who have unlimited funds or time. Both of these perspectives couldn’t be further from the truth.

We invest a great deal of time, money and energy in various areas of our lives. We purchase stocks and bonds.  We invest in our future by attending institutes of higher learning.  We invest our most precious commodity, our time, in hopes of creating a profound connection.

Seldom, however, do we invest in our physical, mental or energetic well being because either, it “takes too much time and energy” or the consequences are not as immediate as say, financial loss or an unsatisfying job.

By participating in our health and wellness programs, you are investing in your future and improving your quality of life.

The benefits of therapeutic bodywork include relief from acute and chronic pain, improved circulation, increased mobility, restored postural integrity and balance, increased focus, reduced stress and an overall sense of well being.

Advanced Somatic Therapy™

universal-manDeveloped by Jeff Masters, Advanced Somatic Therapy™ is the core of the Masters Institute Clinic offerings.

The foundation of this treatment is a comprehensive, multifaceted, pre-treatment assessment.

From this assessment we determine the primary areas of focus for the soft tissue portion of the treatments as well as begin the process of client “homework.”

In addition to soft tissue manipulation, A.S.T. sessions include continued assessment and neuro-energetic facilitation to release deeper restrictions, energetic encapsulation and neural entrapment.

An integral component of an A.S.T. session is NMRE (NeuroMuscular Re-Education) which restores optimal function to the body.  This training consists of not only gross level functional components such as corrective flexibility and integrated movement techniques, but also the deeper disciplines of breath work, focused concentration and recommended lifestyle modifications.

A minimum of three sessions is recommended to take full advantage of the benefit of this work.

Modalities

The core principles of Advanced Somatic Therapy™ make up the foundation of all our sessions.

Building from this foundation, each session incorporates various modalities depending on the needs of the client.

These modalities include:

  • Ayurvedic Pulse Diagnostics & Lifestyle Recommendations
  • Pranotherapy – Vital Point Therapy
  • Craniosacral Therapy
  • High Intensity Directed Energy Work
  • Neuromuscular Therapy
  • Lymphatic Drainage
  • Myofascial Release
  • Yoga Therapy

How Many Sessions Are Right For You?

We are adaptive beings. If something changes in our internal or external environment, our mental attitudes, physical structure and energetic signatures will adapt to accommodate it.

Over time, we will try to maintain a certain point of balance in health and wellness so that if a change occurs, we can shift back to that set point. This is the foundation of homeostasis. It exists on all levels of being and is important to take into account when considering any health and wellness program.

At the Masters Institute we recommend a minimum of three sessions to start, as this gives you the chance to experience a profound shift that may not be available from a single session.

Individual session price: $125.00 / 90-Minute Session

NOTE: Our standard session length is 90-minutes, however this time may vary depending on client needs and therapist discretion. Also, session fees are subject to change without notice.

What To Expect

Here are a few things to consider that will help you to integrate and process your session before and after.

The first is to understand that the work we do here is multilayered and multifaceted.  It may at once seem physical in that it interfaces with the body releasing physical tissues and restrictions and, at the same time, it is profoundly energetic.

Utilizing specific therapeutic techniques and disciplines your therapist will access a myriad of non-local, non-verbal quantum energetic levels / patterns.  It is only when these patterns and their physical correlates are finally released that the space is created for true healing to occur.

During a session you may experience one or more of the following:

• A sense of deep relaxation
• Feelings of resistance or anxiety
• Altered states of awareness
• Involuntary body movements or twitches
• Stomach sounds
• Random (or not so random) insights or memories
• A heightened sense, or the release, of emotions
• Various physical sensations:
– Pressure or being stuck to the table
– Tingling
– Cold or warmth
– Vibrations or wave like movements
– Flashing or different colored lights behind the eyes or around the body

A typical session lasts 90-minutes and may take up to three days (or more) to completely integrate with your body, mind and energetic structures.  During this time it is recommended that you pay special attention to your body, emotions, mental posture (moods) specific physical sensations and dreams.

Our clients are always urged to take the time to write down their experiences in a journal or notebook for review later.

If there are any questions about the nature of your session or what you are experiencing afterwards, please feel free to contact our office directly.
